PET film extrusion lines
PET film extrusion lines with single-screw extruder and pre-drying
PET film extrusion lines equipped with single-screw extruders require the raw material to be pre-dried in order to prevent hydrolytic PET degradation. The material is then plasticised in the extruder and subsequently delivered to the smoothing unit by means of a melt pump, filtering system and slot die. Smoothing units with a horizontal roll arrangement have proved particularly suitable for extremely thin film with thicknesses below 200 µm.
